Sofia Airport is Bulgaria’s main international airport and is situated approximately 10 km from Sofia city centre. The airport has two passenger terminals – Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 – connected by a free shuttle service. Terminal 2 has direct access to the Sofia Airport metro station, making the metro one of the fastest and most convenient ways to reach the city centre. Metro line M4 operates daily from approximately 5:30 a.m. until midnight.
Official taxis are available at the designated taxi ranks outside the Arrivals areas of both terminals. Passengers are advised to use only the airport’s authorised taxi operator or to request a taxi from the official desks inside the terminals.
